Not with any consistency.
I have tried a couple different chemical solutions (atavan and trazodone) as well as natural solutions (cannabis, lavender, etc.) and just exercising until I’m ready to drop. None of those will induce sleep if there is something that my mind has decided needs to be worked on.
The only thing that helps in this case is to get up, write down what is consuming my mental cycles and what my plan is to address it the following day. Once my brain thinks I have a plan, it will settle into sleep.
I would guess it’s a “fight or flight” reaction.
