I keep thinking that there is somewhere that I can go - home, office, friend's house, favorite B&B, daughter's house...somewhere - and feel better there, feel whole again and like myself. But it never happens, of course, because it simply can't at this point. It isn't a place or a group of people or an activity or "things" or anything else..."home" was the feeling of being known, loved, partnered and with my husband - and that is gone for the time being; maybe forever...I don't know. Anyway, your post was beautifully written and resonated strongly with many of us so I wanted to acknowledge that and to thank you for sharing. I'm so sorry for your loss Babsy, but I'm so glad you found us. This long and winding road that we are all on can at times be lonly, but as long as we are together and share our experiences we can give comfort to those coming behind us. I've learned so much from others I've met here, and Hope to repay the favor one day.
