My Blog - Boo's Journey through widowhood

Hi there, I write a blog because it really helps me to express my fears, thoughts, hopes, memories ... and especially to connect with other widow/ers.

On the right hand side of the blog I have listed lots of useful resources that I trust (on internet), as well as books that really helped me, and a blogroll of many other widow/ers.

Dear Boo,

May your day be wonderful - full of smiles, sweet memories, love ... and, if you haven't yet heard ... celebration over your offer being accepted on that beautiful home in Andalucia. So, so good to "hear" your smiles in that blog post. ♥

Dear Boo -

Thank you for the "Welcome."  I'm sorry we "have" to be here, but isn't it nice to have a place where people truly understand and get it?   My sister in law had the nerve to tell me that I wasn't grieving "right;" that I had to get angry at my husband for leaving me before I could move on, and that my therapist must not be very good if I'm "still" grieving; that I should take my husband off the 'pedestal" I've put him on... etc.  How dare she!  She has no idea of my process or what is it like to lose her husband!  I was so upset when that happened I was spitting nails. I cried for days, and this was when my dad was ill and he died in January.  People have their own issues, but how dare they take them out on others.  However... what's said is said, and what's done is done.  I just want to let go of this struggle I feel I've been caught up in...

My husband had rectal cancer and died Nov. 12, 2010.  (Sorry; that may be on my profile; it's been a while since I've checked in and have forgotten what I may have already said!) In any case, thank you for the offer of assistance, and I appreciate it.  I"ll be checking in when I can.

I apologize for not responding sooner.  My husband died June 7th.  It was a very busy time.  I'm going to check out "double loss."  I think it would be helpful.

Thank you for your kind words.

Boo - - Just Hi.  I think about you often and hope that you are OK.  When I think about the past two and a half years (can you believe it?) and wonder at how I made it this far, your name is always on the top of my list.  Thank you and please know that there is someone in Arizona that loves you.

I have a Cardigan Welsh Corgi bitch, very sweet.   Also a Red Fronted Macaw.....right now he is molting and in a bad mood most of the time, but at nigh as I leave his area, I hear him say, "Momma, I love".  Yeah, he melts my heart!
