Hello, Damianino. I was reading how you lost your wife just this last March...only 4 months ago...and I am so very sorry. I hate that you are going through this awful mess.

But I'm glad you enjoyed the letter. It's funny, but as I was writing it, I wanted to say so much more...there is so much more to say. How do you capture all those years in a letter? Impossible.

I suppose you just have to let it out when it needs to come out. Words, tears, sometimes screams.

I am just over 9 months now, and though I'm better than I was, ohhh do I have a way to go. And it makes me question: Will I EVER get there, this place I never wanted to go? And WHERE IS THERE, by the way?

I'm sure you've had all the same thoughts as I. And yes, one day you will 'write your letter'. Though it may not be a letter...know what I mean? You will have to express your sorrow, love, grief in your own way...and it may very well be a letter...or a painting...or a support group...or a song.

But whatever it is, I hope you find that way. WV will no doubt help you do that. It has helped me immeasurably find a voice as a new widow (a label I despise).

I look forward to getting to know you, friend. And I wish you well on this awful journey. Please remember, that every day that passes without your sweet wife, you are not are not are not alone.

Hi Damianino, I have indeed been dating someone wonderful for almost 2 years now. I cannot say I had much luck on the dating sites, I met him thru a coincidental meeting.

Hi Damianino

Have accepted your friend request.  Also did a major post for you on WV re

Old Flames.   I think the copy of it has now appeared on your page.

Hope it helps a little.  Things may be different in your country... but  we do need

to understand what could be happening to us.

By the way re the Curtin radio program... I think it should  1.001  if you cannot find it.  will go online and get the link.

Just wanted to to reply to your comment.  I am not sure what music you heard but I go it that it had caused a flood or tears.  So many beautiful songs that say it all.. about our beloved.  Sometime try and see if you can go digital for Curtin University 1.o1 they play all the GREAT old love songs.  It is a community radio station and plays 24  hrs- it is here in Australia but goes out to the world.  I have gone on that radio station and another one (they are both linked together) and  tried to bring attention on the suffering of widowed people.  Anyway I think you would like the music.. it has everything from Born in Boots to  Kismet and Richard Tauber... but nearly all of the songs are about love and loss.  Many blessings
