I wanted you to know that someone is holding you in their heart as we share this incredibly painful journey. I became suddenly-widowed in March when my beloved Gary passed away of cardiac arrest.

When I read your post on the Suddenly Widowed group a few days ago, I felt immediately connected. We also were blessed to be able to retire at 50. I'm so incredibly grateful that we had those years to really spend time together and deepen our relationship, but like you I am now totally bereft as our days and lives were so intertwined.

Your picture reminds me so much of us. We must be somewhat close in age (I'm 66 and Gary was 65 when he passed), and both our husbands were bearded, but most especially I see that closeness and bondedness that comes through even in pictures.

I hope it helps a little to know that someone is out there thinking of you. If you would like to be "friends," just ask.
