2 years ago, life as I knew it ended. The people Liam and I were supposed to be were destroyed right along with Martin’s life. Realizing it’s been 2 years since my everything was ripped away from me, still astounds me. It feels like yesterday, yet 200 years ago at the same time. I have grown though this second year of grieving, I have become a different person. The Laura that you knew did die with Martin that day. When I first heard of Camp Widow, I had no real idea what it would be like. I've heard from others it was a life changing experience. I've heard it was wonderful to be surrounded by EVERYONE WHO GET IT!!! I've heard it was one of the best times people had ever had in their "new" lives. Well...it was all of these things and more.
It was amazing, exhausting, emotionally draining, and healing all at the same time.
