Widowed Village

A community of peers created by the Soaring Spirits Loss Foundation

Robbie got a package in the mail today from our favorite nurse practitioner. She sent him some masks, surgical hats, a pair of scrubs, and a stethoscope. The kid is over the moon right now.

He wants to be a cardiothoracic surgeon, including doing heart transplants, so the heart transplant NP and the surgeon are doing everything in their power to help him achieve this goal.  They're even looking into getting more info for us on a cardiothoracic internship at Stanford for high school and pre med college students.  Robbie's already coming up with fundraising ideas to raise the money so he can go if he's accepted.

Oh wow, don't you just love angels of mercy? It's things like this that keep us going. So happy your child has a smile on his face, even if we can't see it under that surgical mask. ;-)
