Soul of Life

awake my soul;
peacefully; the soul of my mate at rest.
will I find my answers or my fate,
when he was the best?

awake my soul.
I can breathe in the air.
unfamiliar, and unaware.
my surroundings take me there.
they take me there.

awake my soul,
still here, not taken.
let his rest,
love will not be forsaken.
let his rest,
it's for the best.

THICK and heavy,
throbbing of pain, pulsating rigorously
mainly in my brain.
                mainly in my brain.

awake my soul,

a disconnected, surviving wife

awake my soul,

my soul of life

I think, I thought,
I loved, I sought
I swung, I shot
I missed, and forgot.
but I can love again.
I can love again.

awake my soul

my soul of life
