When you lose someone you loved, it creates a big hole inside you. You miss that person so much! You feel lonely and sad. These feelings are part of grief. People who care about you, can help to fill this big hole. One by one they come to give a piece of themselves, creating a collage of love.

The book was inspired by the author’s own experience of grief. The illustrations were created by the author, using watercolor. Grief is represented by a dark hole and the different characters have different shape and colors, so that they can be anybody.

The book is intended for anyone who is suffering from the loss of a loved one, but also offers an insight for those who want to help and better understand the journey of grief. They can then be part of a “collage of grief”.
