I do enjoy daily walks to catch the sunrise. Exercising sets my mood for the day and allows me to focus on my personal thoughts and feelings. Also, I look forward to saying “Hello” to others walking to keep myself mentally healthy!
4x per week has been my routine and the benefits have been positive. I look at it as a regular part of my grief journey by taking care of myself, one thing that I feel I can control after 7 months. It forces me to be around people yet interact only as much as I feel that day.
Yes. I have been in the habit of exercising for many years–e.g., long walks, exercise regimen, cardio class. Though I have had to push myself more frequently since my husband died, I have tried to keep up with exercising regularly. Helps my physical and mental health!

I was able to for a few weeks and the stopped and have not done so in a long while as I don’t have the strength or energy to do so.
I need to try and start exercising again, yet it is hard as there is a part of me that does not care anymore.
It is not easy.

I have recently joined the YMCA and I am taking a few yoga and gentle fitness classes. Definitely needed, and I am feeling stronger more and more .
