Personify your grief – what would you say to it? What would it say to you? Do this annually and reflect back over how it has changed for you over the year(s).

Have you been able to laugh again? Have you experienced joy? If so, what is that like for you?

Write about any dreams you may have experienced that involve your person. Are there some that feel more realistic than others?

What would you say to your best friend going through the same experience? Write about that, and reflect your words back to yourself. Maybe try reading it to yourself in the mirror.
